Walker Registration
Walkers can register online, via mail or fax, or register the day of at on-site registration.
Early Registration is $35 on or before Aug 31, $40 Sept 1 - Sept 26 and on-site registration is $60 (which includes a $20 donation to Team Spirit)
Children under 12 walk for free, but must be registered to receive a T-shirt!
Please note: Early Registration closes on Sept 26th. If you are unable to register on or before Sept 26th please register on-site Oct. 2nd.
Walker Fundraising
Each walker is encouraged to raise $200 or more!! Don't wait, start asking your friends, family and co-workers today to sponsor you for this worthwhile cause. Set a fundraising goal, and surpass it. Remember, even the smallest contribution can help win the fight against breast and ovarian cancers.
Form a team and combine your efforts to reach a MUCH larger team goal!! Teams must be a minimum of five people, including the captain*

We appreciate you choosing to walk with us, and we want you to have a great time!! Participating in the Team Spirit 10K Walk is a great way to help create awareness for our cause, so have fun with it!! Individual walkers and teams, be spirited and be noticed!! Let's let everyone know why we are walking!!
There will be a prize for the Most Spirited Walker & Team!!
Route
The route will be clearly marked with signs. There will also be course monitors and volunteers along the route - keeping you walking in the right direction. There are 2 water stations "pit stops" along the route. There are public restrooms available at each of these pit stops. As well as porta-potties at the start/finish of the walk. 10K?
The Team Spirit Walk is a 10K walk, or 6.6 miles. Most walkers finish in 2 hours. If you feel tired or feel that you won't be able to finish the walk...no worries! We have 'Sweep Vans' to take you back to the home base (start/finish of walk). These vehicles will be clearly marked as a Team Spirit Sweep Van and will be driving the route the entire time the walk is in progress - Stay on the sidewalk and flag him down!! Or ask at one of the pit stop-water stations, and they will call a Sweep Van to give you a ride back to the Home Base where you can enjoy the Closing Ceremonies.
Safety
Safety is our top priority. Please follow all normal traffic rules and regulations. Obey signals and always ensure that drivers see you before you cross a street - make eye contact. Please be aware of sidewalk conditions, and call out potential hazards to your fellow walkers. If a walk safety monitor or volunteer gives you instructions, we ask that you comply with them.

Parking - New Info Just Added!!!
Parking will be available in the Marina Parking Lot adjacent to the Long Beach Yacht Club as in past years. This year parking will also be available in the Marina Parking Lot adjacent to the Marina Shipyard on Marina Drive just south of 2nd Street (view map | Download map PDF) We are pleased that the Big Red Bus has signed on to provide 2 busses to shuttle walkers back and forth all morning. Just look for the signs and the Big Red Busses!!
There is also street parking in the surrounding neighborhood – Please be courteous of our local neighbors and obey all Posted Parking/No Parking Signs as well as respect homeowners private Driveways!
